Key Steps in Glazing:
- Lens Selection & Marking: Choosing the right lenses and marking their optical center and axis based on the prescription.
- Blocking: Placing the lens in a blocker machine to read the frame’s shape and size.
- Edging/Cutting: Using an edger machine to grind the round lens into the exact shape of the frame, creating a bevel on the edge for fitting.
- Polishing & Finishing: Smoothing the lens edges for comfort and safety, sometimes adding coatings like anti-glare or blue-light filters.
- Mounting/Fitting: Securing the finished lens into the frame, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
